U.N. Votes to Fund Unprecedented "Commission of Inquiry" Targeting Israel

Results of the vote on Israel's proposed amendment
On December 23, 2021, the U.N.'s financial committee (5th Committee) rejected a proposed amendment by Israel to eliminate funding for a Human Rights Council "Commission of Inquiry" targeting Israel.

The oral amendment would have inserted the following paragraph to the draft resolution on special subjects: Decides not to approve resources related to resolution S-30/1.

The "Commission of Inquiry" has no end-date and will be funded by an unprecedented amount of cash and human resources, all to come from the UN’s regular budget – that is, to be charged to every taxpayer of every UN member state every year for eternity.
